About Me
Kayla Julianna Carabes (b. 2002 Houston, TX) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting and performance, with a focus on natural environments as sites of memory, transformation, and storytelling. Her practice draws on intergenerational knowledge and ecological research to explore how land holds and communicates lived experience. Kayla is currently earning a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI.
